| On Saturday 6th of December,Ian Walsh ran a railtour from Limerick-Wellington Bridge-Waterford-Kildare via Lavistown Jctn-Limerick Jctn-Limerick using Push Pull stock.This compromised of 6104+6311 being hauled exclusively and suprisingly by 142+144 throughout.It was a fantastic day with weather playing in favour of us for the highlight section between Limerick and Wellington Bridge.The engines put in sterling work and were no bother.As for coaches,very petty stuff but nonetheless it was there really just for the photo in Wellington Bridge,first time they are recorded to have visited here.Thanks go to Ian and co. for a fantastic day out and look forward to hopefully another tour soon.Although what made it very unconvincing that there may be another tour is that only 2 coaches could be spared for it.Shows how much interest that I.E have lost to keep enthusiasts pleased!! |
